{Can we define reality?}

Description

Once asleep we enter a new world, a world of abstraction and emotion. However life there seems a whole lot like life now, sensing the world and acting upon it.
In a dream we feel both emotional and physical pain and pleasure incredibly realistically, so realistically in fact that we don't even question its legitimacy. Somehow the dreamworld becomes indistinguishable from the the reality we experience when were awake.
It is not until we wake up that we realize that all we experienced was nothing more than a self constructed narrative with no physical properties.
Here, logic looses meaning and the abstract becomes the mundane.

Most people believe that reality is based on the physical experience and what we -know- is real, what we can measure, what makes sense. However we really we even trust our knowledge ? You could be walking by the meadows and you notice a tree, you can see the bright colored leaves as they rustle gently in the air. You approach the tree, you begin to smell the the tree sap dripping on the bark, curiosity leads you to touch it, you notice a viscus honey like consistency. Contemplating its similarity in appearance to honey, you decide to taste it, however you soon realize it doesn't taste very good.

At this point you would be pretty sure that the tree is real and that it exists in physical space. We just perceived it using our 5 senses, and that to us seems proof enough to validate its existence.

However it isn't hard to fool our senses. Under.Under enough mental or physical strain your mind mind will start playing tricks on you, bending reality and distorting your perceptions making you believe in something which isn't really there.

Naturally this sense of induced reality this has captivated our attention, leading countless generations of  to to wonder at this word of sensory illusions.

So if we are so easily deceived by the mind under those conditions then what makes us so sure that it doesn't deceive us more than we think, yet its so well disguised that there is no current way of knowing.

Essentially all perception is, is a series of electrical impulses derived from the receptors which then get transmitted into the brain. Then the brain translates that information in the sense of color, or touch.

When we dream instead of the brain receiving information from our receptors, it replays information already gathered from when we were once awake. This projections are so accurate that we experience to these  senses just in the same way we do when we are awake.

If it wasn't for the act of waking up, it would be impossible to distinguish reality  from mentality. If what we call "reality" is defined by experience of perception, then the realm of dreams is just as real as these worlds.

If reality is subjective to the being, it also has to subjective to the state.
